Rev Dachomo Vows To Drag Nigerian Government To ICC Over Alleged Genocide - Loadedmore.ng

A Nigerian cleric, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has declared his intention to hold the Nigerian government accountable at the International Criminal Court (ICC) over what he alleges is a systematic Christian genocide in Northern Nigeria.

In an interview with News Central TV, Rev Dachomo accused the Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government of complicity in killings, claiming that repentant Boko Haram members have been recruited into the Nigerian Army, Air Force, and Police.

“I’m over 100% in support of President Donald Trump’s intervention because the Nigerian government’s hands are tied,” he said, emphasizing the need for international scrutiny.

Rev Dachomo challenged claims that Muslims are equally targeted, asserting that evidence points to a targeted campaign against Christians. He said he has insider sources providing information about attacks and mass killings.

Allegations of Attacks and Atrocities

The cleric, who serves as regional chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, detailed several incidents:

  • Over 500 people were allegedly killed in Dogo Nahawa village in Jos South Local Government Area on March 7th, 2010.

  • His own village has been attacked multiple times, with over 50 people killed, including family and friends.

  • In one instance, worshippers in Jaruwa were reportedly burned alive during a church service.

“I will go to any length to prove that this government is lying. We are also planning to take Nigeria before the ICC and sue the Miyetti Allah association for their role in these atrocities,” Rev Dachomo stated.

He is actively documenting cases of alleged Christian genocide, visiting multiple locations such as Wurekum, Doruwa, Mangu, and Bokkos to compile a comprehensive report to present to the world.

Call for International Attention

Rev Dachomo expressed frustration with the Federal Government’s denial of genocide, and claimed that even the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has failed to fully acknowledge the extent of the attacks.

“Since the Federal Government claimed there was no genocide, that statement has pushed me to intensify this work. Right now, I’m travelling around to document cases because many affected villages were never recorded, even though there are graves.”
