Davido Speaks Out for VeryDarkMan, Demands His Release

Afrobeats superstar Davido has joined the growing chorus of voices calling for the release of controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).

VDM was reportedly arrested by the EFCC after visiting a GTBank branch with his mother to address issues with unexplained debits. As of now, details surrounding the arrest remain unclear, and the anti-graft agency has yet to confirm his detention publicly.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Davido expressed his admiration for the public’s show of support for VDM and urged authorities to release him.

“Outside all the noise, it’s good to see that the good one does actually impacts lives and people actually appreciate! The support I’m seeing for VDM everywhere is encouraging… makes one want to do more for the masses. FREE MY GUY,” Davido wrote.
