EPL: Iwobi battles five players for Fulham’s Goal of the Month
Alex Iwobi is in the race for Fulham’s Goal of the Month for April, with the Super Eagles star battling it out against five other players for the prestigious award.
Iwobi’s stunning strike in Fulham’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Craven Cottage on April 20 earned him a spot on the list. The midfielder slotted the ball past Robert Sanchez from the edge of the box in the 20th minute to give Fulham an early lead, marking his ninth goal of the season for Marco Silva’s side.
The 29-year-old Nigerian is up against some stiff competition, with fellow nominees including Chibuzo Nwoko for his goal in Everton U-21’s win over Nottingham Forest on April 28.
Other contenders for the award include Rodrigo Muniz, Ryan Sessegnon, Seth Ridgeon, and Emile Smith Rowe.
With his eye for goal, Iwobi is hoping to secure yet another individual accolade this season!
